Why Lake Titicaca?

In September 2024, four dear friends joined me on a short yet intentional journey to Scotland. It was the continuation of information received months earlier, in April, inside the Cave of Sita and Rama in Nashik, India.

We had only five days (September 28 to October 2), far less time than the original instruction required. Rather than attempting to cover too much ground, we met in Inverness, the nearest city with an airport closest to the center of the Sacred Pentagram of Scotland: Loch Moy. Then we extended our journey far north, to Ring of Brodgar, an ancient stone circle resting on a narrow isthmus on Orkney Island.

Why Loch Moy? Because it sits at a crossroads of ley lines which also operate as the vortex of two interlocking triangles.  The twin pyramidal structures preserve the same proportions as the Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt). Likewise, Loch Moy mirrors Butley, a small village just fifteen minutes from Glastonbury (England). By virtue of being the center, any intention anchored there propagates to the points that form the pentagram. The center amplifies, replicates and commands coherence. Image by David Furlong.

After Ring Brodgar we returned to Inverness. We went to the Druid Temple, stood by Loch Ness, and finally made our way towards the center: Loch Moy.

On the road to the Loch, we got lost several times. Google Maps malfunctioned, dropping us at dead ends, phantom locations, even the middle of highways. Waze fared no better. After looping the same route for the third time, an intuition rose quietly but firmly: turn here. A dirt road.

That road led us to an unexpected place: the memorial site of Lachlan, 30th Chief of Clan Mackintosh (see coat of arms above) . Besides the computer and mentions in the Outlander series, none of us had any reference about that Clan. Still, we paused, enjoyed the landscape.

Eventually, we reached Loch Moy. We parked and walked toward the water. But it wasn’t the private island. Nor the other island. Nothing matched the image I carried. I felt lost. And to be honest, embarrassed.

I asked silently and sincerely for guidance.

At that exact moment, sunlight broke through the gray sky and an orb struck the surface of the water, illuminating one precise point.

Stand there. Stand there on the water.

So, we imagined ourselves standing in the middle of Loch Moy. Suspended. Ethereal.

Now dance, with joy.

And so, four Latinas danced without music, laughing freely beneath the gray Scottish sky.

Now, stand together. Shoulder to shoulder.

We breathed into this new geometry. We stood still.

As I gazed into the water, my heart expanded: soft, full. And then the final message arrived:

… broken hearts… now go to Lake Titicaca.

What?

Lake Titicaca?

What possible connection could exist between Nashik, Loch Ness, and Lake Titicaca? And what does love have to do with it?

That evening, I began to research.

  • The coordinates of Loch Moy and Lake Titicaca did not mirror each other.
  • Both lakes hold islands.
  • Loch Moy has two islands. One is private, crowned by a castle that once served as the seat of Clan Mackintosh. Their coat of arms bears a mountain cat, and their motto reads: Touch not the cat without a glove.
  • Lake Titicaca´s name comes from the Aymara language.
    • Titi: wild cat.
    • Karka: rock.
  • Titicaca holds the Isla del Sol (Sun Island) and Isla de la Luna (Moon Island), symbols for the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine.

A Note to self, October 2024:

  • We now have a couple (Sita and Rama) linked to two lakes on different continents. Both lakes reference feline archetypes. All threads seem to converge around love.
  • Go to Lake Titicaca.

The lake lingered in the background of my mind for 14 months. It surfaced again in Transylvania. To be frank I was feeling too tired with many to-dos in my life after extensive travelling last year.

But the call only grew stronger.

I felt I had to go to Lake Titicaca during the first trimester of 2026.

In early December 2025 I made a deal with myself: I will go, but it had to be easy. A journey where I only needed to say yes, pack and go.

By mid-December, the opportunity appeared. I joined a group travelling to Peru as part of their graduation of the Kryon steps, led by Diana Carvajal.  I didn´t need to know the details of the itinerary. I only needed one thing: to reach Lake Titicaca.

I asked the travel agency to add 3 additional days on the lake.  They suggested a homestay on Taquile island.

I accepted without hesitation.

Travel dates: January 6 – 14, 2026.

With gratitude to my dear Maribel Caro, keeper of the group chat from our Scottish journey, that helped me put this entry together.  And as Maribel would say: Thank you to our guides! The most wonderful guides!
